What is the difference between the Persian cat breed and other breeds?

We have a big, fluffy cat living at home. His nickname is Maxik. Our cat Maxik is a Persian breed (so my mother told me). I like to play with him. I had a problem: there are a lot of cats, but I know little about the Persian breed. A hypothesis has been developed: cats are the most popular pet. Almost every family has or has had a cat of one breed or another.

I have questions: How did cats appear in the house? Where did the Persian breed come from? How does the Persian cat breed differ from other breeds?

A cat is the smallest animal from the cat family. People domesticated cats in ancient times to catch rats and mice. They always treated her kindly, and she paid them back in kind. The Egyptians, for example, revered the cat as a sacred animal. The cat saved their crops from rodents. They even made mummies out of cats and buried them in cemeteries.

Many years have passed, but the cats have not changed, they have the same character as her ancestors. Independence is the main thing for her. In appearance, the domestic cat is surprisingly similar to its ancient ancestors. She has well-developed vision and hearing. She can recognize a person by voice and clothing, and respond to calls. The cat distinguishes colors poorly. The sense of smell is 14 times stronger than that of humans.

My cat Maxik is a Persian cat. Medium size. Türkiye is considered the birthplace of the breed. He has a beautiful appearance, one might say he behaves like a <>. The body is covered with fluffy, long and soft cream-colored hair. The fur forms a beautiful collar around the neck, shoulders and chest. Sometimes it is imperceptible behind the thick fur that it begins to roll up. The head is round, large with a convex forehead and a small, short, slightly upturned pink nose. Those. the muzzle is completely flat. The ears are short and triangular. The eyes are large, round, convex, expressive, dark orange in color. The body is large, strong, the chest is wide. Paws are straight and powerful. The tail is long and fluffy.

Maksik is a very quiet, calm cat who loves nothing more than to sleep, eat, purr (so loud that we call him tractor driver) and sometimes play with me. He can sleep anywhere, in any place (box, bag, bag), the main thing is that there is peace and quiet. He will not let strangers near him, he will snort loudly and even scratch him. Feels good and bad people. He can approach a good person himself and let him pet him, but he moves away from a bad one and tries not to catch his eye. Maksik doesn’t like being offended, he remembers the evil and then will definitely take revenge (for example, he can pee in his shoes). Maxik loves me and my brother very much, he doesn’t scratch me even when he plays. Quickly responds to his name.
