A story about a wild raven

A story about a wild raven

It was not so long ago. My family loves animals very much. At that time we had two dogs: a big one and a not very big one!

We went to walk them in a forest located not far from the house. Dogs are nimble people, as soon as they entered the forest, each wandered off about their business in different directions: as they say, boys go to the left, girls to the right. Mom and I were left standing under the pine trees, watching our pets. Suddenly a huge black raven landed on one of the pine trees. Naturally, we began to watch him (this is very interesting, it turns out!). The raven turned out to be nimble, realized that he was being watched, and began to twist his black head with sparkling beads instead of eyes. Mom, without thinking twice, started talking to him (from the outside it was very funny). And what do you think? Raven turned out to be indifferent? No, you're wrong! Everything turned out almost like Ivan Andreevich Krylov!!!

How beautiful you are! - said mom.

The raven turned and bowed, as if thanking him for the compliment.

What wonderful feathers you have, mom continued.

The raven spread its wing and looked at us.

Wow, what a handsome guy! – Mom said with admiration.

Our hero spread his second wing, tilted his head lower, as if he was inviting us to further communication. But mom also got a taste for it, continuing to talk to the bird:

What a ponytail you have! And what eyes!

Raven, as if understanding his mother’s speech, began to show us his stretchy toys!!! It was just funny! Have you ever seen anything like this? I’ll tell you, there are a lot of impressions. The raven stretched out its legs one by one, as if he wanted to show us their beauty.

If you could sing us some song, little light, my mother asked.

Our hero, a handsome man, apparently became a little embarrassed, because he began to twist his head. But then, to our surprise, he began to make sounds that were very little reminiscent of the usual: KARRR! Then my mother and I were confused. Raven waited a little, hoping to hear another compliment, but mom had no words! Then he began to challenge her to talk: he again began to show off his feathers, his paws, and even turned his back to us. We gasped, because his back was impossibly black, and even glittered in the sun. It was such beauty!!! Of course, my mother and I responded to this beauty with another compliment. Our handsome man, in my opinion, was happy. His beady eyes seemed to glow with happiness.

Suddenly this communication was interrupted. Our dogs, having apparently decided that we had gone crazy, came running, sat down in front of their mother and looked closely at her for a long, long time. And the raven, not wanting to communicate with these strange four-legged creatures, flew to the very top branch of the pine tree. It was good for him - a lot of compliments, but what was it like for mom!!! All the way to the house, the dogs kept their eyes on her, trying to make sure that everything was fine with her mother.

We met our feathered friend a couple more times in the same place, but we couldn’t talk to him: the dogs stopped moving far from us, fearing for our mental health! But this day will be remembered for many, many years.
