How did livestock farming appear?

Vasily Ivanovich Skuridin was very keen on animal husbandry and loved animals very much. He spent all his time with them. And he passed on all his skills by blood to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. And already grandson Sergei Vladimirovich, listening to his grandfather, remembered the following words: that a person without an animal cannot exist. And he remembered them for the rest of his life. And already when he was a young man, helping his father, he became convinced of this, and saw how his father devoted enormous time to his animals. Vladimir Vasilyevich was engaged in breeding chickens, geese, and pigeons. When Sergei Vladimirovich spent his time with his father, and this helped him in the future. Sergei Vladimirovich began to delve into livestock farming. And already when the question was about choosing a profession. Sergei Vladimirovich did not think for a long time; he immediately chose the profession of a veterinarian. And he connected his life with animals. Sergei Vladimirovich treats animals with love, kindness, tenderness. Sergei Vladimirovich loves chickens, geese, but most of all he loves pigeons; he devotes all his time to them. Sergei Vladimirovich breeds different breeds of chickens. In his farmstead there are about two hundred chickens. He breeds such breeds as Yurlovskiy, Orlovskiy Sicy, Brama and many others. But his very first breed is singing birds, as Sergei Vladimirovich calls his hens and cockerels. But in fact, Yurlov chickens. These are chickens of the Livensky breed, as indicated in the archives; this breed came to us from the Livensky district from the village of Yurtsy. This is where these chickens got their name from.

From history. Livensky and the adjacent nodes of Oryol, Voronezh, Kursk provinces have long been famous for their heavy chickens up to 4-5 kg. weighing, laying large eggs up to 80-90 g. This information was confirmed by specialists by studying the distribution of egg mass and size depending on the geographical area. The measurement and weighing of commercial eggs was carried out in Moscow in 1926. Where they were delivered from different cities and regions of the European part. As a result of this competition, a map was drawn up for the distribution of these two characteristics, upon examination of which it was clear that the center, that is, the maximum mass and size of eggs, was located in the city of Livny. This is a large bird with a massive body, similar to Asian meat chickens and fighting chickens. The body position is horizontal.

The head is large, with a rounded occiput and a wide frontal bone. The comb is leaf-shaped; rose-shaped and nut-shaped are also found. The beak is short, curved downwards, yellow. The eyes are gray-yellow, and also light yellow. They have overhanging brow ridges.

The neck is long, with a strongly developed scruff, straight, vertically set.

The body is long, wide, deep, massive and raised, especially in roosters. The back is long, the chest is wide. The tail is of medium size, set almost at a right angle to the back. The shoulders are wide, extending to the front. The wings are small, tightly pressed to the body. The metatarsals are long, bare, black, sometimes white or yellow with a black coating. There are four toes on the paws, the toes are very long, the claws are black. The sole is predominantly light.

The plumage is quite magnificent. The color of the plumage is predominantly white, silver, scarlet, but most often it is found with a light yellow mane.

Yes... These chickens are very beautiful, and they also sing beautifully; on average, a rooster should sing for twelve seconds, but sometimes more.

But the genes that this person has, there simply are no such genes. He loves animals, lives together with them, and sometimes you can even notice how he talks to them, as if they understand him. Sergei Vladimirovich can determine the condition of an animal at a glance, and can identify any disease. Yes…. It’s not given to everyone, but it’s given to him. This is love and kindness that is interconnected with animals. When he interacts with birds a lot, his mood rises and he gets a lot of energy. Sergei Vladimirovich has an invisible thread between the animals. He is trying to find out more about his birds. He tries to keep them in perfect hygiene. O cares for them and gets offspring. It's very hard work.

It also contains pigeons of different breeds. But he respects pigeons and loves them very much. Spending his time with pigeons, he calms down and gains a lot of energy. If something happens to the pigeons, even at a great distance, he senses that something is not right with the pigeons, and his feelings turn out to be true.

Seeing how this person does what he loves. And maybe in the future, I will live up to the words of my great-grandfather. I also love animals very much, but most of all I love dogs. I have a dog at home, his name is Baron. I've had it for four years now and I love it very much. I look after him, and he understands me like a real person. He listens to me and tells me something, and I understand him. And from his look I can understand that he is sick, or wants to sleep or go for a walk. I want to follow in his footsteps and study animal husbandry further and more deeply. I want to know everything that is possible about them, and everything that is not possible.
